W. G. Spence Walk/Ride

This walk commemorates one of the significant contributors to Australia’s Federation. W. G. Spence was brought up in a slab bark hut the site of which you pass in Jackass Gully 4 km past St Georges Lake. Look for the memorial a few metres to the right of the track.
The walk begins at the Creswick Visitor Information Centre and ends at Mollongghip, some 740 metres above sea level. It includes a variety of forest and open country walking to the top of the Great Dividing Range.
